Well… it has been 4 months since I have posted to my blog. Thank you for the GRACE and encouragement you have offered in “waiting” to see if I would continue blogging. I am stepping back in “gently” which means I would love to share with you what we have been up to in my stamp clubs, scrapbook clubs, and what I am offering for classes. I may also share a “live your best life” post from time to time …no, not EVERY weekend, unless I am feeling inspired!
So, with that being said, here is a pic of the uber-cute banner card we made at my January card club this month. I LOVED the energy of all the gals who attended— some newbies to my world, and some long-time customers and friends that I look forward to stamping with each month.
Most of the supplies on this card are new Sale-a-bration items— which means you get it for FREE when you spend $50. Sale-a-bration runs Jan 28-March 28. It is my most favorite “sale” and time of year with Stampin’ Up…. in fact, it is when I signed up to be a demonstrator 12 years ago, in January! WOWZA.
Here are the Sale-a-bration supplies:
133521 Sweet Sorbet Paper
133520 Decorative Dots Embossing Folder
133551 Banner Blast Stamp Set (wood)
133519 Banner Punch
133522 Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack
As always, you can order at my online store, or let me know if you would like to join my stamp club! Thanks for looking today…. glad to be back.
Well, you have FOUR DAYS left (until 8/31) to get the “intro deal” and subscribe for Paper Pumpkin if you are not yet signed up!! The great news is, you can get it for only $10 a month for your first two months! Why not give it a try?
What is Paper Pumpkin?
A pre-made “kit” that arrives on your doorstep to give you about 30 minutes of crafting and creating fun! Every month it is different… it is USUALLY a card kit, but has also been a mini-scrapbook and a cute banner kit.
This is what the card looks like from August’s Paper Pumpkin, Pedal Praise, if you make it exactly like the directions show:
I always make one card exactly like the kit shows, and then I try to make three different cards using some fun extra accessories I have in my mix. Here are three more variations that I made of this month’s Pedal Praise kit… cute, eh?
So, why not give it a try for two months and take advantage of the sale? You can cancel at anytime and it really is fun to have a couple of NEW STAMPS, some ink, and fun projects arrive on your doorstep each month! When you sign up, enter your quantity as “1″ and just put the word PUMPKINDEAL in the promo code line to get the discount! Happy Stampin’!
I have to say… I didn’t want to want this stamp set. Truly. And then, I show up at Stampin’ Up Convention for a class with Janet Baker and Susan Adams… and fell in LOVE with this card. Isn’t it so cute?
So, the fun thing that my club gals got to do with this card, was pick their “In Color” of choice. Now, if you know me, Strawberry Slush is right up there for “favorite” In-Color for me, but on this card, my first choice was actually the Pistachio Pudding!
True dat. When coming to favorite In-Colors, Denise exclaimed, “They better make Baked Brown Sugar be a color FOREVER” and I tend to agree with her. Truly, my club members just couldn’t go wrong with whatever color they chose. Speaking of In-Colors– the funny thing is that I AM seeing these “In Colors” out in the world— clothing, home decor’, even HATS had Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe colors at a store up in Estes Park this summer:
But… back to cards! Here is another fun design using the telephone image, and then orienting the card the other direction:
I also have to say that I am really enjoying mixing and matching the prints of Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (126926).
Some other fun “do-dads” and extras on these cards:
In Color ruffle ribbon
Tea Lace Paper Doilies (129399)
Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels (125577)
Very Vintage Designer Buttons (129327)
Deco Labels Framelits ( 130102)
NEW HOSTESS CODE! For the rest of August, if you place an online order for under $150, please use hostess code TFKQTYSV and you will be entered to win $20 in your choice of FREE Stampin’ UP! product.
Don’t forget, you can get MY PAPER PUMPKIN for only $10 a month for the first two months if you sign up by August 31st… enter code PUMPKINDEAL in the promo code. Here is the link to get signed up! https://mypaperpumpkin.com?demoid=43300
I received this fun card from my up-upline, Jill Olson. She loves to send cards and goodies to those who are in her top sales and I look forward to whatever comes in the mail that has her name in the return address!
This “polaroid camera” trend is big right now— cut out middle with some design and the edges looking the border of those fun pictures we use to point, click and wait to develop right before our eyes! Ahhhhh… those were the days.
This card uses the
Chalk Talk stamp set (130631 wood-mount, 130634 clear-mount)
Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (130514 Wood-mount, 130517 Clear-mount)
Lots of fun and pattern and “grunge” going on too.
Wanna enjoy another “trend” right now? “Kits in the Mail” and big with paper-crafting, cooking, cosmetics… etc. Well, “My Paper Pumpkin” is a fun kit that you can try NOW for only $10 for your first two months! It is simple… just go to https://mypaperpumpkin.com?demoid=43300 click on “Join Now” and enter all of your information. Make sure you select “1″ as the quantity for kits and enter the coupon code PUMPKINDEAL in the promo code box which is located just below the kit quantity. You will then finish with payment information and click “Submit.” You will receive a confirmation and a request to set up a password. Your first two months will be $10, and you can cancel at anytime (by the 10th of the month if you don’t want the next month’s kit sent to you!) After that, it will only be $19.95 a month. This offer is for new subsribers only, and is available until August 31st! JOIN TODAY!
Here is my LAST card sample for the week using the Beautifully Baroque stamp set, and it was one of the cards we made at my 10-10-25 class last week. We have SUCH a fun time and it is always a popular class that I like to hold a couple of times a year. It definitely allows my customers to get stocked up on cards that they need for all occasions and I will be sharing some of the other cards we made if you want to pull out supplies and re-create with me!
This card also uses the Label Love Stamp set and punch, which you can purchase together in a bundle and save 15%. (132723 Wood-Mount Bundle $34.75/ 132722 Clear-Mount Bundle $28.75) The fun little accent pieces behind the greeting use Early Espresso Cardstock cut with the Apothecary Accents framelits (127003) and Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper with the Chalk Talk Framelits (129983). The card base is Tangerine Tango… a pretty intense color, but just the right “pop” to add to this otherwise pretty neutral card.
So, with a new month, comes new Stampin’ Up Promotions and Specials! Let me give you a quick peak of what fun deals you get take advantage of:

Here is another fun card using the Beautifully Baroque stamp set! On this card, I used the coordinating embossing folder, also named Beautifully Baroque (130917), but if you purchase them together as a bundle, you save 10% (132732 and it is only $19.50 for the big stamp AND embossing folder!) Another fun special that is going on through TOMORROW (7/31) is the “buy three, get one free DSP— Designer Series Papers!” The paper that I used on this card is the Venetian Romance Paper (130144) and there are lots of cool designs and colors that are a part of this paper, including Crisp Cantaloupe, Island Indigo, Pistachio Pudding, Soft Suede, Tangerine Tango, and Very Vanilla.
When placing an order, just go to my online store and start shopping! And remember, the designer paper special ends TOMORROW (7/31)
I will keep you posted on any new sales or promotions that may hit in August. Thanks for your business…
Well… this week is going to be a “theme” of this stamp set… Beautifully Baroque. It, too, is part of a bundle that includes and embossing folding that coordinates (132732 $19.50— this includes the single wood stamp and embossing folder) I was drawn to this stamp and embossing folder right away when the catalog came out. The sample on p.113 in the catalog is simple, but stunning! SO! I pulled Beautifully Baroque and decided to “play.” I posted the club card that we made using this set last week. And, now this week, you will be seeing some of the “other cards” that were a result of my messing around to come up with a cute card for club.
Fun tip for this card: use the strand of pearls that are connected in a row on your sticker sheet of Basic Pearls (119247) and curve it along the bottom to match the shape of the die or punch you are using. I hope you enjoy!
And don’t forget about the Paper Pumpkin Special!!!

IT IS SUCH A CUTE KIT!! Here is a pic of the cards you make with that first kit:
Then, your second month, you just don’t know what is going to show up in the mail for you to create and that is half the fun. I am tellin’ ya! I didn’t realize how much I was going to enjoy getting Paper Pumpkin every month since I am a pretty “seasoned” paper crafter, and originally prided myself on being “more advanced than a kit-girl” …if you will. BUT! Hold on for the cuteness!! Here are just a couple of samples of what has come in past kits:
So? What do you need to do to get signed up??
It is simple… just go to https://mypaperpumpkin.com?demoid=43300 click on “Join Now” and enter all of your information. **Note– this is for NEW subscribers only! To those of you who have been a subscriber of mine from the start (or for awhile) THANK YOU— and know that you have received shipments and enjoyed kits that are no longer available :-) I hope you are enjoying your Paper Pumpkin Experience every month… leave me a comment and let me know!
As you already know, I am LOVING all of the bundles that you can get in the Stampin’ Up Catalog. This one features a stamp set, Six-Sided Sampler (130953 wood $26.96/ 130956 clear $18.95) and a Hexagon Punch (130919 $15.95) that coordinates PERFECTLY!! If you buy the stamp set and punch together as a bundle, you save 15%. (132725 Wood-Mount Bundle $36.50/ 132924 Clear-Mount Bundle $29.50) I had played around with a lot of color combinations for this card, and settled on the fun primary colors! (Real Red, Marina Mist, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight). I think the red hexagon looks so summery and like a “strawberry patch”— do you agree?
And of course, the Chevron Ribbon is one of my favorite new accessories in the catalog! On this card I used the Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon (130019) which ended up looking great with the Daffodil Delight accents on the card.

In addition to leaving for convention, this has been a Stamp Club week for me! I just LOVE my time with the gals that come to hang out in my basement! They bring the laughter, creativity and FUN each month. Truly… THEY are why I do what I do. Love my clubs.
So… this month, we made some cool cards (I say that every month) and I will share one with you today, one tomorrow, and then one on Monday when I get back from Convention!
This card uses the new single stamp called Beautifully Baroque (130895 $14.95 available in wood, only) I was drawn to this stamp when the catalog came out in June… bought it right away! The greeting set that I used was Perfectly Penned (128703 wood, 122893 clear). Combined with some Designer Series Paper (Venetian Romance 130144) and some embossing and dyed lace doily action (Deco Labels Collection Dies 130102, Designer Frames Embossing Folders 123130 and Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder 129984). Add the touch of an Antique Brad (111272) and we have quite a card, if I do say so myself! The color comb is Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Crisp Cantaloupe.
Don’t forget that most of the Designer Series papers are on sale this month… buy 3 get 1 free! And if you order on my online store make sure to use hostess code 4YAN2W9H if your order is less than $150, and you will be entered to win $20 in FREE Stampin’ Up product (hostess sets, included!)
Thanks for coming by today! Make sure to check back tomorrow and see another one of my July Club projects!
Are you getting Paper Pumpkin every month?? If not, you should join TODAY!! It is a fun, creative escape that is packaged and prepped for you to enjoy about 20-30 minutes of FUN!! I LOVED this month’s kit! The first card I showed you was the “exactly like the box shows” card. These next three are ones that I altered and changed up a bit with some supplies that I had on hand.
I just added some Daffodil Delight Seam Binding (125583) and “bling” to it (Basic Jewels 119246 and Large Basic Jewels 129324) to the card above.
To this card, I used the greeting from the Paper Pumpkin Starter kit that you get in the first month (woo hoo! love it!) and I oriented the card the other direction…
And then finally, on this card, I used the Six Sided Sampler (132725 Wood, 132724 clear) that coordinates PERFECTLY, I think. I also used a strip of Polka Dot Parade DSP and the little banner from Itty Bitter Banners in Daffodil Delight. Cuteness!!
Take a watch at this video to learn more about My Paper Pumpkin! And remember, if you sign up by the 10th of the month, you will get in on the CURRENT month of the subscription. And, it truly is “no risk.” You can cancel at anytime!! Sign up with me today!
All Best of stamp sets will include 3-5 images, including a never-before seen image, and will be priced at $14.95.

Well, Father’s Day is this weekend and I thought I would share a neat, masculine card made by Amy Storrie. The greeting comes from a NEW set in the catalog called Really Good Greetings (130330 Wood $18.85 and 130333 clear $14.95) Truly, there are really good greetings in that stamp set! The paper used on this card is the “Soho Subway” (130140) which has a lot of cool, urban looking prints in it. Love the color combo (Crisp Cantaloupe, Summer Starfruit, Early Espresso, Island Indigo and Very Vanilla)
Also! There are a couple of basic, “essential” greeting sets that are on sale this month! Take a look! Make sure when you place your online order, you use code 3W4FQ3JY this month and you will be entered to win a stamp set of your choice that is $19.95 or less!

One of the things I love about Stampin’ Up! products is that you can start with a variety of supplies and make things from scratch, OR, you can purchase “kits” of products that make it easy to assemble cute things QUICKLY without a lot of thought or needed creativity! Voila! The Boutique Boxes Designer Printed Kit is in the current Mini- Catalog. It is sooooo much cuter in person!! You can buy just the boxes (129306 for $7.95) OR you can add in a stamp set that coordinates, “A Little Greeting” and the bundle is 131104 for only $13.50. These boxes fit candy bars and gum PERFECTLY! Makes a great end-of-the year appreciation gift for teachers and coaches. Here are some completed samples:
Bloomin’ Bouquet Kit
A brand new kit just announced by Stampin’ UP! Mother’s Day. Teacher appreciation. Just because. Say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. All you need is some paper, ribbon, or a vase to add the finishing touches to the bouquet. As if that weren’t enough, the kit contains a “baker’s dozen”! This means you can create and give (or keep) a dozen flowers, and have a bonus flower left over to pass along to someone new!
And finally, My Paper Pumpkin! It is a monthly subscription for a kit that will show up on your doorstep each month. It is $19.95 a month and you get all of the supplies to make completed projects in about 30 minutes. My customers who have signed up for it are really enjoying it (and I am too!) Sign up by May 10th to get in on it THIS MONTH! Click here to subscribe!
(If you click on both links in blue, those lists will download for you! There are some great discounts on some of the retiring accessories! woo hoo!)
Yes, there are some stamp sets that I am SAD to see go:
…to name a few!
Next week, I will be headed to FIJI (wahoo, yippee, woot!) can you tell I am excited?!?! But have no fear… I will be posting a “Kiss em’ goodbye Card” each day with retiring stamp sets as you kiss me goodbye for a week to relax in paradise. And can I just say, “THANK YOU” for your business that blesses me so and allows me to take fun trips like this?
Just a note on how the retiring ordering works:
Retiring Accessories are WHILE SUPPLIES LAST (this includes paper, ribbon, do-dads!) To make sure you get what you want before it is gone, go to my website www.jenjacobsen.stampinup.net to place your order
Retiring Stamp Sets will be available until June 3rd!! You can order these online, or at an upcoming class or club with me.
And! MARK YOUR CALENDAR for Friday, May 31st! I will be holding my annual NEW CATALOG OPEN HOUSE (and retiring stuff garage sale) which is always a BIG HIT!! 2 sessions: 10am-2pm and 6pm-7:30pm. RSVP no later than Memorial Day if you would like to attend!
I just have to say how FULL my heart is right now as I held 3 stamp clubs over the past 2 days! These gals are some of my favorite people in the world… we had fun doing a “Selena Gomez” technique– watch for that video NEXT week! :-), laughing and talking about life, and discussing some of the heartache around the bombs at the Boston Marathon. Bottom line: these ladies are, yes, stamping in my basement, but more than that we get to share some of the bigger things of life together. I love it! And I am also SO EXCITED about 4 new club members that signed up JUST this month. Can’t wait to get to know you all better. Thanks girls.
A couple of Stampin’ Up “news” items for you:
the retired list of stamp sets and accessories will be posted on April 24th! I will post on my blog and get you all emailed so you can order those items that are going to be going away before they are GONE!
There is a fun new hostess special right now– $30 more in FREE product if you host a workshop that is over $350 by the end of May! I have some available dates to do a “Private Class” with you, or if you would like to do a catalog party and just collect orders, that is a GREAT OPTION with the retiring list coming out!
And finally, HERE is a sneak peek of the project and video tutorial you will see on my blog tomorrow— Faux Silk. Make sure to check back tomorrow!
So! A couple of things for you today. First, YOU WANT TO GET SIGNED UP FOR PAPER PUMPKIN TODAY (if you haven’t already) Here is the dealio. At first glance, even I thought, “Eh, Paper Pumpkin seems a bit too simple… too stamping-remedial for the likes of me.” Well. I have changed my tune. Here is why. First, I had SO MUCH FUN making the standard simple cards that come in the kit. They are cutie-patootie and went together SO FAST!! But! The even better part was that I was left with the AWESOME images “Hey There, Friend” and the splatter stamp that reminds me of Itty Bitty Backgrounds that Stampin’ UP used to carry (boo hoo— miss it. But now I have an even cooler splatter stamp from my first Paper Pumpkin kit!! yay!) So, here is how it works
1) Let me know that you want to get signed up for Paper Pumpkin and you will start receiving the kits! It is $19.95 each month, you can cancel at anytime. Your first month you will get the “Hey There, Friend” box— it comes with Block D that you will be using in future Paper Pumpkin shipments. YOU NEED TO SIGN UP BY THE 10th of the month (that would be TODAY) in order to get in on this month’s shipment!!!
2) If you signed up last month, you will be getting a BRAND NEW NEVER SEEN KIT in the middle of this month (I will too) So excited to see what it will be and I promise to show you samples!! You cannot get the back-issues of past kits… so if you signed up last month, you are not missing a one!! If you sign up TODAY, you will only miss this month’s “new” kit. Make sense? Clear as mud?
SO, here are a couple more cards that I made with the “Hey There, Friend” and splatter stamp from my first Paper Pumpkin Box. Note: I totally used pieces and parts of other cards I didn’t know what to do with, so it is an admitted hodgepodge of “random cuteness.” My opinion…. I know!
Notice the “ombre technique cuteness in this one?” I have a leftover card I didn’t know what to do with, so I added a lace doily, and the stamped image and a button and “voila!” The ribbon banner is the ginormous ribbon in the mini catalog. Love love!
And this one, too, a bit of hodge-podge! Ombre Technique and piece and parts from the My Paper Pumpkin kit added to it. Hope you like!
Contact me TODAY and I will get you all signed up!
This is SUCH a cool technique!! It uses the Delicate Lace Tape, glossy cardstock, sponge daubers and ink pads! I will be posting a video tutorial tomorrow so you can learn and follow along!
And remember! TODAY is your last chance to get FREE SHIPPING!!! Stampin’ Up announced some color changes that are coming down the pipe…. boo hoo to BAJA BREEZE going away :-( I am also a bit sad about More Mustard and Certainly Celery, but am excited about some of the ones that are coming back (Pear Pizazz, Cool Caribbean… and a NEW color, Smoky Slate.) Here is pic of the colors going out… and the colors coming IN!!! Note: You may order the retiring colors (stamps pads, refill, ribbon and cardstock) ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. When they are gone, they are gone. So, don’t miss out on getting your favorites.

Announcing our Color Refresh! We love color and we know that you do too. Color is fundamental to who we are and what we offer. It’s important for us to stay up-to-date with color trends so we are thrilled to share our updated line of colors, and hope you will be as excited as we are by the new possibilities!
Why now? In 2010 we did a big color renovation and shared our plans for smaller color refreshes every three to five years to keep our colors on trend. Well it has been three years and we are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013-2014 annual catalog will include 10 new colors (most of which are returning In Colors from previous years)! We are welcoming back some of your favorites, moving some colors around, and introducing one brand-new color, so take a look!
Beginning on April 4, 2013, all retiring/discontinued color products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last. This means that some products will not be available through the retired list period. We did anticipate increased demand and based our forecasts for these retiring colors on historical sales information from previous color transitions. However, even with the most careful planning, the response to a transition of this nature can surprise everyone–including you in your own business and personal purchases. We encourage you to let your customers know that any of our retiring color products are only available while supplies last so they can get their favorites and look forward to the exciting colors coming in the 2013-2014 annual catalog. And also announced today, free shipping is going on April 6-8, 2013.
Here is a video from Stampin’ Up if you would like to see these colors layed out together. VERY COOL!
